Welcome Message

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 11th Asian Thermophysical Properties Conference (ATPC 2016) which will be held from October 2 (Sun) to October 6 (Thu), 2016 in Yokohama, Japan. The present Conference is the 11th in a series of very successful international conference on Thermophysical Properties held in Asia since 1986.
The present Conference is the 11th in a series of very successful international conference on Thermophysical Properties held in Asia since 1986. Previous locations are:

1986 Beijing, China 2001 Guwahati, India
1989 Sapporo, Japan 2004 Hefei, China
1992 Beijing, China 2007 Fukuoka, Japan
1995 Tokyo, Japan 2010 Beijing, China
1998 Seoul, Korea 2013 Jeju, Korea

Although it is named as Asian, this is one of three world-wide conferences on thermophysical properties, namely the European Conference on Thermophysical Properties (ECTP), the Symposium on Thermophysical Properties (STP in the United States) and the Asian Thermophysical Properties Conference (ATPC) each of which is successively held every three years under the agreement of the International Thermophysics Congress.

The Conference has been providing an outstanding international forum to present and discuss progresses in research and development and application in the field of thermophysical properties of a wide variety of systems. The Conference is concerned with experimental, theoretical, simulation, and applied aspects of thermophysical properties of fluids and solids including biomaterials and nano-structured materials.

We look forward to seeing you all in Yokohama for a wonderful time.
Yours truly,
Professor Yuji Nagasaka
